Firewood Cutting Open in Mason Countyy approximately 3 miles west of Shelton off the Shelton Matlock Rd. Only Motorized Recreation Access Permit holders are authorized to cut firewood, free of charge, for personal use (5 cords or less). Please email us at recreation@greendiamond.com with any questions.
Directions: From Shelton, take the Shelton Matlock Rd to the 4200 Recreation Access Gate. Stay on the 4200 Rd for approximately 1/3 mile to the 4211 road. (See this map for details).
A new firewood cutting opportunity is now available Mason County, off Cloquallum Rd north of Bulb Farm Rd. Directions: From Shelton, take Cloquallum Rd approximately 8.5 miles to the 4500 Recreation Access Gate on the south side of the road. Stay on the 4500 road for approximately 1 mile to the 3300 road. Turn right onto the 3300 road and go approximately 1 mile to the 3350 road. Turn left onto the 3350 road, stay left at the “Y”. Go approximately 1.5 miles on the 3350 road to the cutting area.
