Road Closure: 830 & 831

October 9, 2025:
Roads 830 and 831 in the Dry Bed Creek area are closed to all recreational permit access until further notice, due to logging operations. Review the upper portion of the “2025 Green Diamond Recreation Map: North” map, near South MTN and North MTN for location specifics.

Please remember to obey all posted signs. Any failure to obey posted signs, or enter into a closed or restricted area, could result in the loss of access privileges.

Firewood Cutting Open in Mason County

September 25, 2025:
A new firewood cutting opportunity is now available in south Mason County, on the east side of Stump Lake off Cloquallum Rd. Only Motorized Recreation Access Permit holders are authorized to cut firewood, free of charge, for personal use (5 cords or less). Please email us at recreation@greendiamond.com with any questions.

Directions:
From Shelton, take Cloquallum Rd to the intersection with Satsop Cloquallum Rd. Stay left to stay on Cloquallum Rd for approximately 2.5 miles. Arrive at the Stump Lake Recreation gate (3500 road). Take the 3500 road for approximately 5.5 miles. Continue to stay left onto the 3560. The clear cut on the right is open for wood cutting. The productive area in this unit will be at the #4 marker, north of the 3565 road.




2025-26 Motorized Permits Sold Out
